The Emily Needs to Take More Pictures Blog

Actually Updating!

August 7, 2008 · 2 Comments

Today Allan finally defeated the crushing computer virus that we’ve been battling for over a week. Now that I can actually do things like access Photoshop and visit websites, it’s time to update my blog!

Oh, and before I go any further, I want to remind everyone that tomorrow is Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day, and since I have no porch and no neighbor (there’s only one condo next to mine, and it’s been vacant for a while), I’d really appreciate if someone would make up for this by giving me any unwanted garden bounty. Zucchini is awesome, and I feel so stupid paying money for it this time of year.

Just putting that out there. And speaking of garden bounty, if Amy is reading this, thanks for the apples – they made a great pie!

So this past weekend was Heritage Day long weekend, so of course we headed down to the Heritage Festival to get some yummy ethnic food. It was just me, Allan and Chad, because Chin ditched us for the weekend to go see his mother or something silly like that. We spent a lot of money, braved a lot of crowds, and ate a lot of food. It was a beautiful hot sunny day, but my attempts to tan were completely unsuccessful (here comes the pasty bride!) Probably not helped by the fact that I bought a little parasol for my wedding from a nice old Thai lady, only to find that after she opened it to show it to me, it could never be closed again.
